Coverage, day by day
What AIDRAN captured from each platform on each day of a release’s week, and whether each day has settled. Posts are counted by the day they were published; capture is counted by the day AIDRAN saw them.

How to read the charts
The chart in each day
Published: posts published that day and captured by the as-of, on the platform’s own scale. It can still rise.
Published on a day AIDRAN wasn’t collecting yet: captured later, and counted.
Captured: the tick is how many posts AIDRAN saw that day, whenever they were published.
Late: the part of that capture published more than 2 days earlier: a backfill or a backlog.
Status: one per platform per day
active: a collection lane was capturing it.
earlier method: a lane was collecting, under rules other than the current lane’s (days captured live from 7 Mar to 31 May).
backfilled: loaded once from an archive after the fact, not collected live.
episodic: it arrives in batches, not continuously.
not started: AIDRAN hadn’t begun collecting it yet.
no lane: collection began and then stopped.
Flags: named rules over the counts
The day wasn’t fully observed: a platform’s first day of capture, or its last before capture stopped.
An active day that captured fewer than half its usual daily posts (the median of the previous 7 capture days).
More than half the posts captured that day were published more than 2 days earlier.
Under the threshold of the day’s posts still expected (arXiv: by batch). “Not applicable” where the platform wasn’t actively collected.

Published and captured, day by day
Each platform’s week as two series: what was published each day, and what AIDRAN captured. The gap between them is late capture: the first days of collection caught up on earlier posts.

Each platform’s week in 2026-W38, 14–20 Sep 2026, as of 2 Oct 2026 04:00Z (computed 2 Oct 2026 16:23Z). Each row is a pair of series: posts published each day (bars) and posts captured each day (ticks), with the late part of each capture hatched; published. Each platform is drawn on its own scale, topped by its largest daily count, so rows are never compared by height. Nothing is added across platforms.
The 40 stored weeks
Each stored week side by side, four at a time (three on a phone), with Earlier and Later. A dashed mark sits where the way weeks were captured changes.

Posts published each day on each platform in every stored week, W01 (29 Dec – 4 Jan), W02 (5–11 Jan), W03 (12–18 Jan), W04 (19–25 Jan), W05 (26 Jan – 1 Feb), W06 (2–8 Feb), W07 (9–15 Feb), W08 (16–22 Feb), W09 (23 Feb – 1 Mar), W10 (2–8 Mar), W11 (9–15 Mar), W12 (16–22 Mar), W13 (23–29 Mar), W14 (30 Mar – 5 Apr), W15 (6–12 Apr), W16 (13–19 Apr), W17 (20–26 Apr), W18 (27 Apr – 3 May), W19 (4–10 May), W20 (11–17 May), W21 (18–24 May), W22 (25–31 May), W23 (1–7 Jun), W24 (8–14 Jun), W25 (15–21 Jun), W26 (22–28 Jun), W27 (29 Jun – 5 Jul), W28 (6–12 Jul), W29 (13–19 Jul), W30 (20–26 Jul), W31 (27 Jul – 2 Aug), W32 (3–9 Aug), W33 (10–16 Aug), W34 (17–23 Aug), W35 (24–30 Aug), W36 (31 Aug – 6 Sep), W37 (7–13 Sep), W38 (14–20 Sep), W39 (21–27 Sep) and W40 (28 Sep – 4 Oct), from each release’s stored coverage, as of 8 Oct 2026 12:00Z; each week published; the weekly totals are the stored platform totals. Each platform has one scale, from all its stored weeks, across the eras. March era weeks were rebuilt from archives, with live capture from 7 Mar to 31 May, Archive backfill weeks were backfilled from archives (Reddit, Hacker News and arXiv only) and September era weeks were captured live from 16 Sep and filled in from archives. The dashed mark is where that changes, so a bar’s height can change with how its week was captured.

Posts published each day on each platform, 29 Dec 2025 to 3 Jan 2027, by UTC day, as computed at 22 Oct 2026 20:23Z. Each platform is drawn on its own scale for the year, across the eras; the tops are printed beside each platform, so bars are never compared across platforms, and nothing is added across platforms. The dashed marks are where capture changes (captured live 7 Mar – 31 May and from 16 Sep; any other day held was loaded from an archive), so a bar’s height can change with how its day was captured. Statuses as stored: active, earlier method, backfilled, episodic, not started and no lane. Nothing was captured live between 31 May and 16 Sep; posts published then and loaded later show as their status says.
