Operation Epic Fury began on 28 February 2026 with a Tomahawk strike on a primary school. The AI-assisted targeting architecture involved in the mission identified the site, passed the recommendation forward, and human commanders authorized the strike ^[12]. The building was hit at least twice during the morning session. Between 168 and 180 people died — the majority of them children. No automated alert was raised at any point in that sequence.
