Mozilla Makes Enterprise AI a Control Problem

Thunderbolt's institutional move is to relocate the open-source contest from weights to deployment authority. A self-hostable client gives procurement, security, and IT teams a concrete object to evaluate: where the data sits, which models connect, and who operates the workflow. That is a harder challenge for closed enterprise AI vendors than another permissive model license, because it attacks the assumption that intelligence must arrive bundled with custody.
